Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) Awards MicroAutomation A State-Wide Contract To Provide NG9-1-1 Products, Services And Support

MicroAutomation’s Omni911 solution has been selected by VITA as part of its state-wide contract vehicle in support of the industry and state’s move to use the advanced 911 capabilities, which are now available through new Next Generation 911 technology for more cost-effective and reliable public safety support.

Centreville, VA – November 30, 2016 – MicroAutomation, a recognized leader in 911 solutions, has been included in the state-wide VITA contract to provide advanced Next Generation 911 products, installation and maintenance for 911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and all public bodies in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

MicroAutomation’s Omni911 product is an advanced Next Generation PSAP solution that continuously adapts to industry standards and best practices to better serve our hyper-connected communities. Designed to meet the demands of Next Generation 911 (NG911), Omni911 is designed to support legacy E-911 environments today and support NG911 networks as they become available. Implementing Omni911 allows PSAPs to prepare for Next Generation 911 by eliminating the need for costly proprietary hardware infrastructure and replacing it with an expandable software-based solution capable of supporting existing and future PSAP environments.

“Being selected by VITA to provide our 911 solutions on a state-wide basis is both an honor and acknowledgement of our product’s capabilities and our company’s experience and qualifications,” stated Suresh Gursahaney, MicroAutomation’s President and CEO. “We believe we have the most flexible, most reliable and most cost-effective Next Generation 911 product available today. Through the VITA contract process, any public entity within the Commonwealth can rely upon the rigorous screening and evaluation process conducted by VITA to quickly procure a Next Generation 911 solution from MicroAutomation.”
